It is believd among the Vaishnavaites that the Nayanmars sang sacred hymns at 106 locations on Earth and attained Mukthi at the Lord's Feet while also signing HIS praises at the Celestial Ocean (Parkadal) and Vaikunta (where Lord Maha Vishnu resides).
Each of these 106 temples along with the other two at HIS doorstep are collectively known as Divya Desam.
Each Divya Desam has a legend and it is believed that the Lord appeared in each of these temples and gave HIS blessings to devotees.
I have visited a few of them already and have sought HIS grace to complete all the 106 Temples at the soonest possible. Shall keep sharing details here.
